Established in 2018, Glamorous Ladies and Data (GLAD) is an initiative aiming to cultivate inclusion and diversity in the Data Science space. By connecting people from all around the world of all levels in the data science spectrum, we are able to address some of the most pressing issues and concerns on the minds of aspiring data scientists and working professionals. The hope is that through mentorship, we will slowly change the landscape of the Data Science field (and STEM as a whole) to one that is more inviting to all.

What differentiates us from other mentorship programs is our group mentorship structure--connecting individuals from around the world. This type of structure allows for questions to be answered by experts from all levels and backgrounds. Topics we have covered include:

Gaining the technical knowledge is only half the battle for breaking into the field of data science, the other half is understanding what it takes to stand out. Together, we highlight the key factors hiring managers are looking for and go over important things to keep in mind when interviewing for a position.
